Thanks for checking out www.Brushandroll.net's blog. My name is James Viviano and I am the owner of a Brush & Roll, Paint and Faux. We provide highly specialize and unique finishes for our customers home and business needs.

I am a consultant with the selection of finishes, color choices and design:

* Venetian Plaster / Italian Plaster / Decorative Stuccos - Plasters imported from Italy with many different textures, sheen and effects. We work with a choice of 12,000 Safra Colors and the ability to color match.
* Faux Finishes - The art of replicating natures beauty with pigment and glazes; stones - marble, granite as well as aged Mediterranean plaster looks, wood grains and metals. Unlimited color options using Universal Tints and Glazes.
* Traditional Painting - High gloss to matte finish, Color choices draw from Benjamin Moore Paint (especially their Historical Color swatches), Fine Paints of Europe and Safra colors. Earth tones are my favorite to work with because it lends itself to most "designed in" elements (i.e.; stonework on countertops, natural wood flooring, tiles, etc.) in ones home or business.

I prefer to create a pallet that reflects both my clients needs and the structural elements that will be influencing the final out come of their project. I suggest to all my clients to go in an organic direction when making their initial design. That is to suggest that they embrace a fluid transition from one space to the next, allowing for each to have its own identity, yet working with the overall vision.

When starting with any project it is a good idea to look at books and magazines that reflect personal tastes. Then to incorporate their own vision to help solidify a strong starting point. My intention is to provide helpful insight and information to assist you along on your journey to beautification and enjoyment of your space.

If anyone has any specific questions or comments feel free to e-mail me and I will address them individually or here at www.brushandroll.net Colorist Column.

When it comes to the best solution for your budget, typically a combination of Venetian Plaster, Faux Finish and Traditional Paint is the answer, the varying percentage of each is were you many find your own unique answer.
